Welcome to TYLA 2020!

The Truman Youth Leadership Academy is back this year to lead campers through a  rigorous yet fun curriculum of Respect, Responsibility, Discovery, Excellence, & Service as we convene for the seventh installment of the Academy this coming summer. Twenty-five to forty young people will be chosen to participate in activities designed to foster leadership skills, community service, and civic engagement. This year, we invite returning campers that have moved onto high school to serve as volunteer Junior Camp Counselors. This year’s camp will feature our core modules of local, state and federal governance mixed in with community service, partner presentations, and fun activities to provide a full week of leadership training!
