The Truman Youth Leadership Academy is a one-week summer daycamp for middle-school age students that explores leadership skills, civic involvement, and community service through the University of Missouri’s four core values: Respect, Responsibility, Discovery and Excellence. Our inaugural summer camp was hosted on MU’s campus from July 22-26, 2013.
By motivating youth to assume leadership roles in their schools, churches, and local communities today, we can inspire them to fill tomorrow’s US House of Representatives, US Senate, and hopefully, the Oval Office.
The Truman Youth Leadership Academy is non-partisan, non-profit, and directed by a team of graduate students. The program is proudly facilitated by the by the Truman School of Public Affairs and the Institute of Public Policy at the University of Missouri.
